Uni Night

Well I’m sorry for the great delay but not too much has happened down here. Picking up from Cat’s bday – Thursday was a very relaxed day and the first official Uni Night! I cooked steaks for Cat and me and then she left so we could get ready. Uni Night is every Thursday where buses take us into and out of Mooloolaba for free! We had a great time but got home wayyy too late and I ended up sleeping all day!

Headed out

The Canadians!!!

I literally did nothing Friday… that night, Cat returned the dinner favor and baked delicious chicken, asparagus, and cream cheese wraps. We were planning on baking cookies but were too full.

Sweet Chili Sauce is all the rage and

Maggie (from Sweden)

had Maggie's Sweet Chili Sauce :)

Bbq - after Cat's delicious baked wraps

Today, Saturday, I kind of stayed to myself. I’ll admit… I ended up watching Twilight three times haha a bit embarrassing but true! Once Cat dragged me out of my room, we baked cookies and then went for take away. (‘Take away’ is just another term for ‘To go’. So many phrases to keep up with!) Overall, a perfect dinner.

Homemade cookies never look as

appetizing as they taste!

Random Irish boys Cat and I met
while getting our take away

I wish I had some juicy details but I haven’t been particularly thrilling lately. I’ll try and pick it up for y’all J I hope everyone’s having a great Saturday! On the agenda for tomorrow is laundry and beach so we’ll see just how productive I am.

Love you

  1. Hi Sweetie pie-
I know the last couple of days have been difficult ones for you. Cookies are useful medicine and friends are good therapy. I'm so glad that you're forging these friendships in Oz. Let these new friends help you through this sad time.

Part of the life experience of being so far from home is learning how to be the same wonderful friend when you're far apart as you are when you're together. You know that an entire planet can't stop Jessi from feeling your love for her and to be comforted by your prayers for her and her family. Just think how she will enjoy her visit with you in August or September.

I love you heaps. Put your trust and faith in God, and He will help you find a peaceful heart.

  2. Liverpies!!!!!

Man i miss you! It was great chatting with you this morning, well evening for you. That is always strange. Hey, I guess it's morning for you now, but I'm guessing you're not up yet... haha!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and know you're having a hard time right now, but I know you can get through this. You are a strong, intelligent, beautiful person inside and out and you can handle anything no matter how hard it may seem at the time.

I don't really believe the "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" motto, but I do believe that difficult experiences teach us about our true character and how resiliant we can be. I think it's most important to let people be there for you and help you when you need the support.

Well this got awfully long and rambly. I'm not sure how much sense that made, but just know I love you and support you no matter what.
