G’day Mate!

Okay, lets finish up Cali before we embark on the main journey…

Let me just say- I love the Jayne’s! They are one of the most incredible families I have ever met J

The last day involved mega packing, preparation, and Hollywood. We were only in Hollywood and Highland for a few hours but they were so worth it! We viewed the stars (love you MJ!), went to the Chinese and Kodak theaters, had amazing sushi appetizers, and finished off the night with a gourmet meal of King Crab Legs and Filet Mignon…. YUM! Let’s not forget the carrot cake and mocha cappuccino’s. We had an amazing view- it was truly the perfect ending to a perfect trip.

Welcome to Hollywood!

Next year... Jimmy Kimmel Show for sure!

Miss you bro...

Famous Kreekree and OJ pose!!!!

Most amazing family...

Heading to the airport was no fun. Before we knew it we were there and saying goodbye. I have infinite thanks for the Jayne’s for everything they did for us last week – I would not have been prepared AT ALL without Mr. Bill. He printed off maps and explained customs and immigration and even made phone calls without me knowing, just to ensure everything was going to go smoothly. Mrs. Jane was the BEST/ fun/ sub-in mom anyone could ever ask for. She knows how to give the true Southern California experience. I think Kreekree and I made pretty good adopted daughters as well ;) I love y’all so much!!!!

The airport was quick- Mr. Bill came in with me as I checked my bags and even waved goodbye as I climbed the steps toward security. Fortunately, I left something in the car so I got a surprise visit from Kreekree!! Hehe planned… ???

After we were reunited but ripped away once more :(

Anyway, got to the airport and met a wonderful Australian couple from Adelaide. Very very sweet, as all Aussies seem to be. On the plane I called and said my last goodbyes to Jessi and my parents. I nearly got sentimental but, pshh, crying is for babies!

Smiling and ready to go!!!

The plane ride was not bad at all! I watched a few movies, was served dinner, and went to sleep. Because the flight was at midnight, it made it much easier to adjust to Aussie time. Made it to Sydney and it was surprisingly cold! Probably because it’s winter here! I met another very nice Australian in the Sydney Airport, named Adam. Adam just so happens to live in the town where two of my SC friends are visiting this week! It just may be a small world.

Welcome to Sydney

G'day, Welcome Home

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new friend Adam from Gold Coast

Everything went very smoothly, made my connection and my airport transfer. (He was waiting for me with a sign and everything!!!) When I finally got to school I was a wreck. It was about 2pm and after hours upon hours of flying AND being pretty sick, I was ready to hit the hay. Luckily, I had already met a friend online named Cole so he came over and showed me around and kept me awake for a while. Around 6:30pm I knew I was done and just crashed!!!

Yayuh!!

He needs a refund for his van...

The wheel's on the wrong side of the car!

Weeee almost there

I woke up a few times coughing and whatnot but didn’t get up until 9:45am. I was VERY thankful for the 14hours of sleep J

Today’s been great- Still not feeling too hot, I knew if I got outside and moving I’d feel better. There are two grocery stores here. A very small IGA Express about 5 minutes away and a big one called Woolworths a 20 minutes walk away. Walked to Woolworths, got a sub, some more groceries, and a hairdryer and straightener.

Woohoo!  The pictures I've looked at online

for so long have come to life!

Each flat has four Units...

Sure beats dorm life :)

On the walk back I had to stop and remind myself that I’M IN AUSTRALIA!!!! It is so surreal. I just met two more friends, Daniel from Aus and Erik from Sweden, so I might have plans for tonight!

Sorry for the delay but we should be good to go now. I’m pretty sure I’m on Aussie time. I hope everyone is sleeping tight, love you all!!!!
